Planning = Love

I take this from a posting made in September;

"People who plan and stick to the plan often are not doing it for themselves, they are doing it because they also have an in-grained sense of contribution, in other words they have love. When you plan, you are naturally making a commitment, when you commit to creating an existence that gives, an existence that does not labor others you are demonstrating your love.

That does not mean that if a plan doesn't work, that you do not love, often a failed plan will teach you more about love than many successful ones will. To understand this you may need a bit of experience at it.

Please take time to think of your commitment to your friends, family and the group life experience and please plan. We write plans because we believe that planning leads to peace and prosperity."

I was incredibly struck by the preparation and planning that was taking place prior to the devastation wreaked by Sandy. Watching the lead up to the storm with all the various organisations preparing shelters, packages and beds I was pleasantly reminded of how many great people there are out there. There are many people who really do love, and perhaps the USA is fortunate enough to have many people who do love in positions of relative power.

Well done to all the volunteers and all the people involved in the planning of the prevention of harm and the clean-up afterwards. Planners are Lovers.

Have a great week!

Fear

We have been bad this October due mainly to the fact that it has been very busy.

We have in the past 2 weeks had the opportunity to work with 3 people involved in the same idea but living thousands of kilometers apart in different cities. The first and most advanced person is open, has a plan in place and has 2 years in the field with success (at this point we must state that this is a non-profit). They are open to collaboration and new idea. The second two are struggling so naturally we went back to the entity who is succeeding and asked if they would allow us to introduce them to the other 2. Yes! Is the answer. What do you think the other two did ? Sadly....they still have not responded.

The important points to note here are experience, openness, offering collaboration and success.....as apposed to struggling and no response.

Being Bold

Be Bold, step back think about what you can do, what you love to do and what risks are involved.

Do not gamble, make sure you are setting it up in a way that does not put you or your family at risk, go ahead and put your power into it. It is all up to you and once you get used to it chances are you will wonder why you didn't do it sooner.

Wayne Patrick

Every week we write many plans for people, it is fantastic to communicate with these people and assist them with their dreams and aspirations, even occasionally to consult them on pitfalls, solutions and provide additional cheer and promotion. If you would like us to "Like" your page just drop us a message!

Every now and then we come across a plan that really makes us feel incredibly good all over. Today Wayne Patrick made us feel incredibly good all over and in fact we felt so good we stayed up writing his plan until 5am. (okay, there was a deadline but still)

Wayne's plan is very noble and generous and offers support to those who do not yet have access to something great. Imagine your lasting contribution being something great!

Wayne, thank you very much! Let us know how the project comes along and let us help you advertise to raise the funds.

All the best!

Love and Planning

There are many people who are very good at what they do, they go against convention and they succeed because the group realization is there and coincides with them, the timing is right and together the idea, its progenitor and the group take flight. This happened to Robert Kiyosaki and his record breaking series of books.

What those books did was create a movement that slightly altered the group pattern of thought, little bit by little bit basic conventions are being challenged and when they are we are finding that success is quite often the result. There are many examples of this today, our favorite at the moment is Richard Branson.

What all these great people do is plan. They have a plan and they stick to it, planning and sticking to a plan takes foresight, commitment, faith and effort. In other words it takes a bit of work, not work in the conventional sense though, it takes the extra-ordinary work that goes on in your being even while you sleep.

People who plan and stick to the plan often are not doing it for themselves, they are doing it because they also have an in-grained sense of contribution, in other words they have love.

Financial Plan

The pleasure of planning when it works out is simply awesome.

139 days ago we decided to put a little financial plan into motion. Those accustomed to FX will know that it is not easy, it can be extremely frustrating and demoralizing. With this in mind we set a plan in motion, it was simple, buy the Swiss Frank and hold until profit.

The Swiss Frank CHF is pegged at 1.2 to 1 Euro, this means it will not go below 1.2.

We placed a Long trade at 1.206 and we committed to not touching the trade until it had made significant movement to our benefit. We based this on the fact that CHF is the only currency still backed by gold and that if it were allowed to float it would get strong and harm the Swiss economy. So, the plan was buy in, stay in and close in decent profit. Simple, straight forward, plan. Today, 139 days later, we closed 4 positions in excess of 150% return.

Planning is pleasure in many ways what it is as well is commitment. Planning to us means many things, not least of which is love. Planning and sticking to a long term plan that ultimately ensures the safety and security of those whom you are responsible for, requires great caring and love...especially when it requires focused and determined sacrifice (what we call work).

Have a great weekend, we wish you all the best of good plans!

The Pleasure of Planning

Planning is a great way to add to your life experiences.

The sensitive side of this is that we then also have to plan for the "bad" experiences, many people avoid planning because they do not want to confront the possible negative issues. The upside to planning is that it is actually a lot of fun getting the tools together to be able to experience life in a pleasant and painless way.

This blog is all about putting plans out into the world that assist people to cope with life in a way that will combat weakness and threat, and lead to peace and prosperity. In a way, planning is one's very own expression of love.

Consider your life experiences and the tools that help you achieve them, it does not take long to realize that the most important tool is a plan.

To your expression of love.

Life

Doesn't always pan out as planned. It takes a few turns on the way, if it didn't it wouldn't be life it would be the automated story of what perfection was perceived to be. The beautiful thing about it though is that ones perceptions change with the advancement of life, therefor ones plans need to be flexibly maintained.

A good example of this would be the last twenty years. I am sure that many during that period had been working hard and putting money aside for pension and had made other, otherwise good investment decisions. Twenty years ago very few had been planning on buying gold coins and even fewer would have believed that at almost zero interest rates people would be struggling to purchase automobiles. Today there are automated gold coin dispensers in Germany and where I bank they offer gold purchase direct. We need not mention the automobile sales of the last 4 years.

Twenty years is not a long time.

Consider having a few plans written up, just like one has a will written up, have a life plan written up and make it a point of stating in that plan that you will plan to flexibly maintain that plan. Mouthful that it is.

My name is AL, I work for Buzplan and I write plans. I write plans because I believe that plans lead to peace and prosperity.

The Plan

Planning is a very "schlep" thing to do, the irony is that when one plans well and those plans come to fruition...the result is access to a lot of very sexy stuff. Portfolios, accounts, toys, destinations, holidays, assets and loads of fun!

The general attitude should be that planning is sexy, it is sexy to know what you want, devise a plan and arrive at the end having succeeded because there was a plan.

The media hyped "5 year plan" is by today's standards very old fashioned. Think back 5 years...were you planning for a global credit crunch? Rather plan on planning a little every day. Much like counting ones pennies takes care of the pounds, many little plans add up to a successful big plan.

PINTEREST impact

"I challenge you to attempt any research with Pinterest!"

That was the challenge and I took it up. Not surprisingly the subject matter I chose was Pinterest itself. I spent around 4 hours total and have the following to leave you with;

1. It was faster than any other platform I have attempted research on to date.
2. There is absolutely loads of useful information stuck behind many of the "Banner" type statements.
3. It is great fun, we are naturally programmed to respond to visual input, it works!
4. If you or your company are not on it......GET ON IT!
5. A finance site has a Pinterest pin board for fashion, there are only 12 images on the board and there are over 7000 followers of the board. Make sense? No! But it happened.
6. Research using Pinterest as the "search engine" was quick and fun.
7. If you do business over the internet, even if its bookkeeping, get your business onto Pinterest and place images of people doing books! Do not forget to embed info and link it to your other pages.
8. Pinterest is potent, that is the lasting impression.

I am not often impressed but I must jump on the bandwagon here and advise you to take some time out and spend it on Pinterest. Do not ignore it

Personal Loan Applications

So you need to borrow money. Like everyone out there or at least 95% of the population, you need to quietly go and sit and ask the bank or some other organisation to look favorably upon your reasoning and intention and then hope that you will get the go ahead.

Today with interest rates as low as they are, that is easier said than done. Anyone hoping to qualify for a loan today needs to perform due diligence. That is where we come in.

We will write a Personal Loan Marketing Plan, the plan that sells your idea and helps you achieve loan approval.

We will then write a Personal Loan Payback Plan, the plan that explains to the same people how you will manage the payback terms.

Look us up, we are at
www.fiverr.com/bowzer

We will help you impress them from the outset.

Marketing within a Business Plan

Any good business plan should mention marketing, however Marketing on its own is a large piece of consideration with any business.

I recommend that you keep the Marketing Plan separate as a Plan on its own, and just give an overview of it in your Business Plan.

Your marketing Plan is an essential piece of artillery, it is a document on its own and must be treated as such.

Marketing Plan

Perhaps a business plan is not the best for your business needs, in many cases a good marketing plan will produce better results.

Ask, "do I need to raise funds?"

When your answer is no, consider rather focusing on a Marketing Plan.

AL

Non Profit

When planning for a Non Profit, consider that business and not for profit are a contradiction.

Rather give your Plan the Heading, "Organisational Deployment Plan" or "Operating Plan".

Its interesting to note that many legit businesses operate like non profits during the first few years due to the difficult nature of maintaining growth and self financing it. Many businesses never leave this stage, often businesses serving corporate customers are more difficult and less rewarding to operate than non profits are.

In your personal vision of your business, please always keep in mind what you are getting out of it and how much it is of benefit. It may be better for you to convert to non profit, make a living and still be of service.

Best of good fortune to you!

Business Plan too much

When developing a business plan, you do not want to provide too much.
A large document loses most peoples attention, you will want to be efficient.
12 to 15 pages is enough and the idea itself should be doing the selling.

Keep the person on the other side of the table interested and asking questions.

Encourage them to ask for anything and be ready with the spreadsheets when requested.

Good Luck!

Cost of a Business Plan

Business Plans can be inexpensive to set up  http://fiverr.com/bowzer

Target Market

Identify your target market and develop your advertising or marketing campaign around that.

You will need to pay attention to the age of the client, the location and the income bracket.
Working on your Business Plan and referring back to it regularly will help you identify with who your core client is and what you should be focusing on to attract more market share. Target Market is therefore in your Business Plan.

Energy drinks for example are consumed mostly by those who fall within the 15 to 39, age group. The consumption figures show that 52% of the consumption is by males. You can picture it, sports event or night club, men and women.

A closer look at the Gardening product sales in the UK reveals that the larger average gardening budget belongs to women in their 50's. You can picture that, you see a 50 something lady in her welly's tending to flowers.

Realizing exactly who to focus your efforts on will result in a better product or service and therefore a better experience for your client. Once you know exactly who you want to make smile you can set about working with them in mind and your effort will better be rewarded.

Wednesday 18 April 2012

Clients

A client is someone who...

1. Supports you regularly
2. Likes your service
3. Likes your cost
4. Likes the quality of your product
5. Brings other clients to you

That in a nutshell is a client, you are responsible for the above being true.

M is for Model

Business Model

During the past 18 years I have been exposed to many diverse small business experiences. The one that left the most profound impression on me was the following set of events.

I had been running an engineering business for 7 years, it had been tough. Engineering requires that you initially spend 4 years studying to qualify. Then when you eventually have the capital to go it alone you can spend two years courting a client before they eventually include you in their supplier base. Thereafter, the clients are constantly attempting to cut your fees and get you to work for less, with some corporate clients 15% profit before tax is what you get. On average these clients took 3 months to pay.

One day I picked up the phone and asked a guy about Fish, I purchased a small Freezer and opened a little shop. Ten days later I was opening the shop and there were clients that had been waiting for me to open at 6:30 in the morning. The week after that we moved 2000kg of fish. The best was our mark-up was 5 times what we were getting it for, we were buying for 1 and selling for 5 and it was immediate cash. WOW!

That little shop made more profit than the engineering business ever did. No higher education or courting of clients required. No labor fees. No expensive equipment. Whatever you do in your small business, you must get your work to achieve the best performance possible and the way that you do that is by ensuring that your business model is a frequent return real profit and preferably instant cash generating model.

A stands for Advertising

As much as you can you need to advertise your business.

Make it a point every day to do at least one of the following;

1. Hand out 5 Business cards or flyers.
2. Email (do not spam) your network larger.
3. Make sure you are on FB or LI and make contact.
4. Try and speak to 5 completely new prospective clients.
5. Ask a return client to refer business to you for discounts.

W stands for...

Starting desires are usually many but you need to clearly ascertain

1. What you hope to achieve
2. What Service or Product you will deliver
3. Why would the client come to you
4. What you want in return

Spend a good amount of time clearly thinking these through and then write down one answer to each.

Monday 16 April 2012

Business Plans

Business Plans are an essential part of the process, with them you can organise your step by step approach along the ladder of business ownership and success.

Business Plans are very effective in raising capital and attracting partners. Your Business Plan is a living document and should be referred to and updated regularly.

Business Plans can be written up for as little as $5, to do this I recommend that you;

1. Open an account on Fiverr.com
2. Enter "Bowzer" in the on-site search
3. Hire them to write up the first Revision of your Business Plan, it only costs $5.

You will need to supply them the following;

1. Name of Business
2. Name of CEO
3. Postal Address (if none available you can make one up)
4. A short explanation of what your business will be involved in
5. The target market.

With this information they will write up a 12 to 14 page Business Plan and even do some research for you.

They are an experienced bunch and write on average one Business Plan per day.

Banking

Take note of your banking and your banking costs, choose wisely. Banking and book keeping fees are shockingly high.

On turnover of around 1.5 million banking fees can run at 40 000, that equates to 2.6 percent and can easily become more than what you as owner may profit out of the business.

Try to do as little banking as possible, keep it simple, do not have debit orders or any other unnecessary charges coming off.

Starting Up

A business startup is relatively easy to do, you need to organise yourself around the following;

1. A name (I recommend that you have 5 selected names that can be submitted).
2. The main purpose and operating arena of the business
3. The Bank Account (your first cost will be the registration itself)
4. An accountant that you have spocken with prior to registration or else one can be assigned to you.
5. Your Identification documents.
6. A Lawyer or Business Brocker who can register the business for you.
7. A postal address for your statements and documentation to be sent to.
